Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Head of Uzbekistan Olympic delegation – Deputy Prime Minister Aziz Abdukhakimov has met with the Vice President of the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee, Member of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament Toshiaki Endo.
The parties discussed the organizational issues of holding the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 in the context of a pandemic, as well as promising areas of cooperation in the integrated development of the physical culture and sports in Uzbekistan.
Toshiaki Endo thanked the leadership of the country for sending such a representative sports delegation and sincerely congratulated the Uzbek side on winning the first gold medal in taekwondo at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Highly assessing the physical training of Uzbekistan athletes in all sports, especially boxing and judo, the interlocutor expressed his readiness to continue to provide comprehensive support to Uzbekistan delegation for its successful performance at the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Toshiaki Endo noted his readiness to discuss cooperation in the development of sports, sports education and the promotion of sports and a healthy lifestyle in society, as well as the creation of the necessary sports infrastructure in Uzbekistan.
