Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Boxer Hasanboy Dusmatov, who clinched gold at the Paris Olympics, has been named Uzbekistan’s Best Athlete of 2024.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan national team defender and French club Lens player Abdulkodir Khusanov was recognized as the Best Young Athlete of the Year.
The awards ceremony for the National Sports Award 2024 was held at the Museum of Olympic and Paralympic Glory in Tashkent.
At the event’s outset, athletes who achieved outstanding results at world championships were presented with one-time cash prizes by presidential decree.
This year’s awards celebrated exceptional athletes, coaches, and teams who made significant contributions to the development of sports in Uzbekistan.
