Hamdoun beat Bahadyr Kochkarov (Kyrgyzstan) and Abdukhamidullo Rasulov (Uzbekistan) to the award.

“I thank AFC for the award and this is good recognition of my hard work this year,” said Hamdoun. “I will continue to do my job well.”

“I think the level of Asian football refereeing was quite high this year and my colleagues did a great job.”

Hamdoun said the award was important for him.
