Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbek fencer Dilnaz Murtazaeva became the first Uzbek fencer to stand on the podium at the Asian Games in Hangzhou.

The 17-year-old athlete from Uzbekistan lost to Injeong Choi of South Korea in the just-concluded semi-final match and won the bronze medal.

For information, Uzbek athletes have never won an award in the fencing program at the main continental competitions of the four years.
