Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential Resolution "On measures for the further development of gymnastic sports" was adopted.
The resolution defines the main directions for the development of gymnastic sports.
According to the Resolution, it was decided to introduce, starting from the 2023/2024 academic year:
the program "The first step to gymnastics" in preschool educational organizations;
the program "Gymnastics for Children" in secondary schools, designed for primary school students.
In the cities of Nukus, Samarkand and Ferghana, regional centers for training for gymnastic sports will be established with modern material and technical, educational and training facilities.
These gymnastic centers are specialized state sports and educational institutions with the status of a legal entity and will begin their activities from the 2024/2025 academic year.
The total number of students at the Gymnastics Centers will be 132 people and will include students in grades 1-11.
Graduates of the 11th grade who have mastered the curriculum and passed the final state certification are issued a state diploma.
This diploma gives the right to carry out labor activities in the received specialty (trainer, trainer-breeder).
According to the Resolution, from the 2023/2024 academic year, measures will be taken to double the parameters of the state order for admission to gymnastics at the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports, as well as its branches.
From 1 January 2023, the following competitions in gymnastic sports have traditionally been held in the Republic of Uzbekistan:
Cup of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan among women in artistic gymnastics - gymnast;
international tournament in rhythmic gymnastics "Bright Star" among youth and "Grand Prix Uzbekistan" among adults;
international tournament in artistic gymnastics "Velvet Road";
international trampoline tournament "Above the sky";
Forum of Uzbekistan "Gymnastics Day", dedicated to the International Day of Gymnastics;
"Cup of the Minister of Public Education" among students of secondary schools;
three-stage (district / city, region and republic) championships and cups in gymnastic sports in age categories established by the rules and regulations approved by the International Gymnastics Federation.
