Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree awarding the People's Artist of the Republic, legendary singer Gulomjon Yakubov, the "Buyuk Khizmatlari Uchun" ("For Great Services") Order.

The prestigious state award has been conferred in honor of the maestro's 75th anniversary, recognizing his lifelong contribution to the development of Uzbek culture, the promotion of national art abroad, and the education of younger generations.

Established in 1996, the "Buyuk Khizmatlari Uchun" Order is one of Uzbekistan’s highest honors, awarded for outstanding achievements in state-building, the economy, science, culture, and the arts.
