Industrial production rose by 8.8% and agriculture output – 5.8%. The capital construction grew by 12.6%, retail trade turnover – 14.9% and paid service – 14%.

Share of small businesses in the GRP of Jizzakh region made up 62.1%, services – 52.4%.

Due to resources of commercial banks and enterprises, some 81 projects were implemented in industry and 109 projects in agriculture sector. Thousands of new small businesses were created in the region and their total number hit 8,000.

The region created 22,904 work places, of which 65% were founded in rural areas.
