Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Gross gold and currency reserves of Uzbekistan decreased by US$270.6 million in July 2018, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan said.
Gross gold and currency reserves fell mainly due to a decrease of gold prices from US$1,250.55 to US$1219.20 per ounce (estimated impact on the decline - US$347.0 million).
According to the bank, gross gold and currency reserves as of 1 August 2018 amounted to US$27.39 billion against US$27.66 billion as of 1 July 2018.
Assets in foreign currency made up US$13.59 billion and monetary gold - US$13.79 billion. Net gold and currency reserves for the month decreased from US$26.66 billion to US$26.36 billion.
