Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan’s gross domestic product exceeded US$80 billion for the first time. This was stated by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his address to the Parliament.
“I want to note some of the successes achieved by the heroic work of our people despite the pandemic, the deep economic and political crisis and contradictions in the world,” he said.
He noted that as a result of large-scale and effective reforms, the country’s gross domestic product exceeded US$80 billion for the first time.
This year alone, US$8 billion of foreign direct investment was attracted to our economy, and exports reached US$19 billion, the President noted.
