Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During a visit to Qatar, a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Shakhlo Turdikulova met with the Director of the Department of Projects and Programs of the Qatar Development Fund (QFFD) Nufa Al-Kaabi.

During the meeting, information was provided on the activities of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the work carried out in the field of education, science and innovation in Uzbekistan. 

The activities of the fund, projects implemented in developing countries, funding mechanisms, the Education Above All (EAA) program in the field of education, cooperation in training women engineers in Uzbekistan, and the creation of special grant programs for Uzbek students were also discussed.

As a result of the meeting, preliminary agreements were reached on the provision of grants by the Qatar Development Fund to cover the cost of training female students studying STEM in Uzbekistan, as well as supporting innovative enterprises and start-up acceleration programs.
