Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to introduce an electronic application for social benefits to low-income families through the information system “Unified Register of Social Protection” was adopted.

In accordance with the State Program for the Implementation of the Development Strategy of the New Uzbekistan for 2022–2026, in the “Year of Care for People and Quality Education”, from 1 April 2024, a state service will be launched to accept online applications for alimony and financial assistance to low-income families.

Relevant changes and additions are being made to the Regulations on the procedure for identifying low-income families through the “Unified Register of Social Protection” information system, assigning and paying them benefits and financial assistance for children from low-income families.

The National Social Protection Agency under the President, together with the Ministry of Digital Technologies, by 1 April 2024, has been instructed to introduce an electronic service for identifying low-income families and assigning them social benefits, as well as providing a certificate through the my.gov.uz.

From 1 April, when determining whether a family’s income meets the low-income criterion, a new amount of minimum consumer spending will be applied to applications submitted for alimony and financial assistance, according to the Statistics Agency.

Changes to the criteria for providing assistance to low-income families will apply to applications submitted after 15 November 2023.
