The event was attended by heads of companies and state bodies and they discussed issues of conducting foreign economic activities in Uzbekistan, including customs administration, legal regulation, price formation and taxation of export-import operations in Uzbekistan.
The roundtable was organized by Federation of Accountants, Auditors and Consultants of Uzbekistan in partnership with USAID project on regional economic cooperation. It was attended by over 70 businesses, representatives of state bodies, international organizations and members of the Federation.
Dilnoza Sultanova, chairperson of the Federation, said that development of foreign economic activity help to economic growth and improve prosperity of population of Uzbekistan. She said that the roundtable presented opportunity to discuss actual problems in foreign trade activity and raise awareness of export-import operations in Uzbekistan. The event will serve as good platform for organization of efficient dialogue between state bodies and business.
Victor Prodedovich, head of USAID project on regional economic cooperation, said that one of the tasks of the project in Uzbekistan is to render assistance to development of exports in Uzbekistan. He added that the project is open for cooperation with the Government, businesses, associations and other stakeholders. The roundtable provided opportunity to businesses to receive actual information from regulators and receive information, exchange opinion and ideas.
