Google AI Academy for Uzbekistan: how the summit on the use of AI went in Istanbul

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24-25 January, an international closed Google Scholar Google AI summit was held in Istanbul, Türkiye to stimulate the digital transformation of the countries of Central Asia, the Caucasus and Türkiye.

Google’s partner for the event was StrategEast, a leading independent organization dedicated to the development of the digital economy in the Eurasian region.

From Uzbekistan, the Google AI Academy Summit was attended by the Head of the Department for the Introduction and Development of Artificial Intelligence Technologies of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Aziz Atabekov, the Chief Specialist of the Department for the Introduction and Development of Artificial Intelligence Technologies in the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan Farhad Belonogov, Director of the National Center for Legal Information “Adolat” Akbar Musayev and other government figures.

The Google AI Academy Summit is Google’s capacity-building initiative aimed at government officials, providing them with a unique opportunity to network with leading artificial intelligence (AI) professionals and gain valuable insights related to AI regulation and adoption. It is also an excellent international platform for exchanging views on harnessing the potential of AI to address national economic priorities and build meaningful connections.

“Google is in many ways a trendsetter in the field of Artificial Intelligence. He did an important job of bringing together representatives of all the stakeholders who determine the future of their countries in this area to discuss how AI can have a fruitful impact on the economic development of the region as a whole and each country individually. I find it particularly important to discuss the active involvement of the private sector. StrategEast is incredibly happy and proud to be part of this process,” StrategEast President Anatoly Motkin commented on the event.

More than 30 government officials from the countries of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia and Türkiye took part in the summit. In total, more than 100 people attended the Google AI Academy Summit.
