Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- GM Uzbekistan will increase retail prices for some automobile models by an average of 7.7%. This was reported by the press service of Uzavtosanoat.

Uzavtosanoat noteв that the decision was made after studying the principles of pricing and validity of pricing for manufactured cars.

At the same time, GM Uzbekistan will keep retail prices for the most popular models among the population without any changes, including Spark, Nexia and Cobalt.

Uzavtosanoat stresses that the decision was made taking into account the heavy financial condition of GM Uzbekistan and the unprofitability of the production of individual models of cars.

The company noted that it did not allow a sharp rise in prices for cars due to optimization of excise tax rates and a decrease in dealer margin.

Uzavtosanoat stated that the delivery of cars under contracts concluded before August 1, 2018, for which an advance payment of at least 85% by individuals and 100% payment by legal entities were made, will be made at prices and within the terms specified in the contracts.
