Gissarneftegaz JV commissions three new wells
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
As a result of ongoing exploration operations to increase hydrocarbons recovery, three new wells in the Northern Nishan and Beshkent gas condensate fields in the Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan were put into operation in April by Gissarneftegaz JV.
Well No 41 in the Northern Nishan gas condensate field: completion of this well has made it possible to recover gas at 3510 - 3581 m depth, with well flow rates of:
- natural gas: 270,000 cubic meters a day;
- gas condensate: 9.2 tonnes a day.
Well No 8 in the Nishan field: 11 tonnes of oil are being recovered daily from the producing horizon at 3260-3280 m depth.
As of 28 April 2009, 20.4 Mcm of natural gas, 615 tonnes of oil and 1619 tonnes of liquid hydrocarbons are recovered daily at the Gissarneftegaz fields.
