A gratitude for his productive work in enhancing bilateral cooperation was conveyed to the Ambassador during the meeting, the MFA of Uzbekistan said.
Progressive development of Uzbek-German relations in political, trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian areas was noted.
Germany is one of the key economic partners of Uzbekistan in Europe. Mutual trade in 2011 totaled 561 million U.S. dollars. German companies such as MAN, Klaas and Knauf successfully operate in the Uzbek market. Joint investment projects with other leading German companies are being developed.
In Uzbekistan there has traditionally been a great interest in studying the German language, scientific and technologoical achievements, while in Germany more and more people are willing to learn about the architectural sights, history and culture of the Uzbek people.
Ambassador Neuen, in his turn, warmly thanked for support in carrying out his mission and expressed confidence that relations between Germany and Uzbekistan have a solid basis for further development in the interests of both countries.
