The head of the Uzbek Interior Ministry’s department for human rights protection and legal support, Lt-Col I. Turgunov and his deputy, A. Sattorov, met the guest.

In the course of the meeting, Turgunov spoke about work being done in the sphere of human rights protection in our country and particularly in the Uzbek Interior Ministry.

For his part, Uwe Berndt thanked for the warm meeting and expressed confidence that future cooperation between the ministry and Germany would develop and strengthen.

At the same time, he expressed intention of taking part in a project of the German embassy in Uzbekistan. The project will be an important step in raising police officers’ legal knowledge and exchanging experience.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged opinions on publishing training manuals, organizing and holding seminars and conferences relating to this project.
