The parties exchanged views on the state and development prospects of bilateral relations, including cooperation within “Central Asia-European Union” format.
A mutual interest in developing the multilayered Uzbek-German dialogue in various spheres was underlined.
The investment sphere, in which the parties have amassed substantial positive experience, is one of the important components of mutually beneficial collaboration. The joint ventures, founded in partnership with such leading German companies as MAN, Claas, Knauf, have been successfully operating in Uzbekistan and new projects with other German partners are being developed.
Willingness of the parties to intensify contacts between the law enforcement and judicial bodies of the two countries, to deepen cultural and humanitarian ties was noted.
Pressing international and regional issues were also discussed at the meeting.
