Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz ) – A delegation led by Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Shahlo Turdikulova held a meeting with the leadership of Qatar Biobank and Qatar Genome organizations.

During the meeting, information was provided on the work carried out by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation on the development of biotechnology, the research work of scientists of the Center for Advanced Technologies under the Ministry for the Study of Genetic Analysis of the Population of Uzbekistan and the planned creation of a biotechnological cluster of Uzbekistan. The representatives of the delegation also visited the research laboratories of the Qatar Biobank and Qatar Genome organizations.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on cooperation with the Center for Advanced Technologies under the Ministry to conduct research in the field of biotechnology and gene analysis, as well as the creation of a Central Asian Genomic Center and a Gene Bank in the biotechnology cluster of Uzbekistan with the involvement of Qatari scientists.
