The visit was aimed at meeting with officials of Artel, a local producer of electronics. Within the meeting, the sides signed a long-term contract on launch of production of split systems (air conditioners) at existing production premises of Artel.

The serial production of air conditioners under Samsung brand will be launched in the second half of 2015.

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. undertook obligation to export at least 30% of products in VIS and foreign states via its global trade network. Within the three years, the exports volume will reach up to 60%.

The Samsung delegation expressed readiness to invest to other similar projects of Artel. In particular, Samsung and Artel will discuss a joint project on production of personal LED-monitors.

Joint products will be produced under Samsung brand at production premises of Artel with mark “Made in Uzbekistan”.
