Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Chinese company Geely may launch production of electric vehicles in Tashkent region.

The delegation of Tashkent region, headed by khokim Zoir Mirzaev, visits the Chinese province of Shandong.

A preliminary agreement on this was reached during bilateral negotiations taking place in the Chinese province of Shandong.

The project is planned to be implemented in several stages. At the first stage of the project, an assembly shop will be built. At the second stage, the production of electric vehicles will be organized. The project is expected to begin in 2024.

During the visit to Shandong, the delegation of Tashkent region also visited the Geely plant and got acquainted with the process of producing electric vehicles.
