Gazprom to hold talks on Dzhel field development
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russia’s Gazprom is planning to start negotiations with Uzbeknefetegaz national holding company on development of gas condensate field Dzhel in Ustyurt region on terms of product sharing agreement (PSA), the article of head of Gazprom EP International in Uzbekistan Maksut Anderjanov said.

The article published in magazine “Neft i Gaz”, said that the Russian company plans to start talks on PSA after it completes the report on calculation of gas and gas condensate of Dzhel field and its approval by the State Commission on Reserves under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan.

Maksut Anderjanov said that the proximity of the new deposit to Shahpahty field, which operates and connected to the system of major gas pipelines, means that developing Dzhel is economically profitable.

Gazprom is also planning to continue exploration at Shahahty investment block within the perspective field Kumoy. It is planned to test six perspective beds at Kumoy-2 well, which was drilled to a depth of 4,170 meters, he said.

Anderjanov wrote that in case of positive results, the exploration works will be conducted within three years, which will clarify reserves, protect them and start to develop on PSA terms.

He said that currently Gazprom is considering to extend PSA terms on Shahpahty field so the company can develop lower horizons of the field.
