Gazprom to buy Central Asian gas for US$8.3bn in 2010

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom is planning to buy 29 billion cubic meters of gas in 2011 from Central Asia and spent US$8.3 billion.

Gazprom documents, approved on 27 September, said that the gas purchases from Central Asia will decrease almost by 10 billion cubic meters of planned volume.

The Russian company is buying natural gas from Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
