Gas explosion in a new residential building near Tashkent injures two people
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On the evening of 27 March, a gas explosion occurred in one of the newly built apartment buildings in the "Gulbakhor" mahalla of Yangiyul district, Tashkent region. The incident was reported by the district administration's press service.
The explosion took place in an apartment on the second floor of a five-story building. As a result, a 55-year-old man and his 46-year-old wife sustained injuries. According to the central district hospital, both suffered burns covering 60% of their bodies.
The blast shattered windows on three floors of the building. It was later determined that the building had not yet been officially commissioned and remained unoccupied.
