Fund Forum to organize Tashkent Festival of New Films
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Fund Forum adopted decision to hold Tashkent Festival of New Films to meet demands of spiritual and esthetic requirements of audience. The festival will be held in autumn 2011.

The project will turn Tashkent to grand venue for presenting works of young directors from Asia, working in genre of modern cultural and author cinema, which is currently widely demanded worldwide.

The festival will cover countries of Central Asia, Asian-Pacific region, including China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and others.

Tashkent Festival of New Films is directed at revealing young talents and open new starts. Fund Forum recalled that Tashkent has rich cinema history as earlier it hosted cinema festival of Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Fund Forum added that the jury, which will include specialists of cinema, will evaluate presented works at the festival. At the same time, it is planned to present several out-of-competition films.

Fund Forum underlined that the Tashkent festival will become platform for discussions as it is planned to host several roundtable and briefings, which will consider cinema development in the Asian region.
