Fund Forum publications now available at UN Bookshop
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Several Fund Forum books are now available to the international public at the United Nations Bookshop in New York following examination by the UN Department of Public Information.

The books in question include “Tashkent - the History of One City”, “Fund Forum Presents Uzbekistan”, “Civilizations, States and Cultures of Central Asia”, “Applied Art in Uzbekistan: Gradation of Values”, and “Samples from the Eastern Art of Calligraphy and Miniature”. They have been recognized internationally as works that contribute to the development of inter-civilization and intercultural dialog in the world.

For the first time since Uzbekistan became a UN member the books and photo catalogs about Uzbekistan’s history, architecture, culture, arts, traditions and contemporary development have been included in the UN Bookshop, which is a global information hub.

The bookshop located on the premises of the UN headquarters serves the broad public, the diplomatic community as well as nongovernmental and international organizations in New York. It is annually visited by over 1 million people, including members of official delegations and the diplomatic corps as well as a multitude of tourists from all over the world.

The UN Bookshop carries the latest titles published by the United Nations and other international publishers. Also available are books published in various countries focusing on history, culture, international relations, architecture, cuisine, travel as well as children’s books, posters, language publications and dictionaries.

The above-mentioned Fund Forum books have been presented successfully in Uzbekistan and beyond its confines, namely in Beijing, Berlin, Dubai, Geneva, London, Madrid, Moscow, New York, Paris, Tokyo and as part of various cultural events. Recently, several of the books have been awarded first place in two categories at the 9th international book fair “The Art of the Book” in Astana, Kazakhstan.
