Fund Forum holds several events in Japan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8-18 October 2011, Fund Forum held “Decade of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan” in Yokohama, one of largest cities of Japan. The exhibitions “Great Silk Road: unadjourned thread. Pattern and ornaments in textile”, “Magic of potter's wheel. Tashkent dynasty of Rakhimov ceramists”, the first culture and art symposium “Textile, ceramics and architecture of Uzbekistan” and exhibition of the photo album “Fund Forum presents Uzbekistan”.

Over 1,200 representatives of public, academic and business circles of Japan visited the events. Fund Forum, National Silk Museum of Japan, Yokohama International Business Center are organizers of the project.

On 8 October, the exhibitions “Great Silk Road: unadjourned thread. Pattern and ornaments in textile” and “Magic of potter's wheel. Tashkent dynasty of Rakhimov ceramists” with symposium “Textile, ceramics and architecture of Uzbekistan” were opened. The events were held at National Silk Museum of Japan and International Business Center.

On 10-12 October 2011, presentation and master clases of members of the Association of Painters, Art Critics and people masters IJOD were held in Tokyo, Yokohama and Yamanashi prefecture. After the negotiations, the sides achieved agreement to hold exhibition of national art of Uzbekistan in Ishikawa and Fukuoka prefectures in 2012, when Uzbekistan and Japan will mark the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations.

On 18 October, International Business Center in Yokohama hosted the photo exhibition “Fund Forum presents Uzbekistan”. The exhibition attracted large interest among experts of Japan Photo Industry Institute and they praised design and quality of works.

Fund Forum said that it is planning to hold exhibition “100 years to Tokyo” in cooperation with Japan Photo Industry Institute within the Art Week Style 2011. The exhibition will kick off at 12:00 on 26 October.
