Fund Forum awarded for discovering talents
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The bulk of the Fund Forum’s projects seeking to discover and support talented youth are diverse, interesting and available to a broad segment of the population, and have thus become famous in Uzbekistan.

The Complex of Education, Healthcare and Social Protection of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, headed by deputy prime-minister Abdulla Aripov, presented a Certificate of Honor to the Fund Form for its efforts to discover young talents.

From the outset of its activities, the Fund Forum and its partners have been running a series of projects targeted at the youth in Uzbekistan. One of the projects aimed at discovering and supporting young artists and applied art masters is Navqiron O’zbekiston (Youth of Uzbekistan) Festival of Traditional and Modern Art.

Another major project, Kelajak ovozi (Voice of the future) Talented Youth Contest, was set up by the Fund Forum in 2005. Over 233,000 people have participated in the contest since its establishment. In 2010, the UNIC and UNFPA named Kelajak ovozi the best youth project. A Youth Initiative Center was set up within the Contest in an effort to bring together young and promising youngsters and create an environment enabling the youth to implement their ideas and projects.

The Educational Grants Program and the Program of Scholarships for Talented Students overseen by the Fund Forum and Mehr Nuri Foundation are popular with university applicants and students in Uzbekistan. While the former enables winners to pay their tuition fees, the latter provides an additional stipend on top of the regular one.

Last year the International Olympic Committee honored the Fund Forum with its annual “Sport – Inspiring Young People” Trophy in recognition of its sporting, educational and cultural projects targeted at the youth.
