Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An expert roundtable on the international experience of creating and managing ski resorts was held at the Committee for Tourism. The event was attended by leading industry specialists, representatives from government structures, private businesses, and the tourism sector.

The opening speech was delivered by Umid Shadiev, Chairman of the Committee for Tourism. In his address, he emphasized the strategic importance of developing ski resorts to enhance the country’s tourism potential, attract foreign investments, and strengthen Uzbekistan’s position on the global tourist map.

The keynote speaker was Pascal de Tiersant, president of the French company Societe de Trois Vallees SA, who shared best practices in the creation of premium-class resorts. As a successful case, the renowned Courchevel resort was presented as a benchmark for ski tourism.

Special attention was given to the prospects for developing ski clusters in Uzbekistan’s regions. During the session, current initiatives were discussed, as well as long-term plans to create modern infrastructure aimed at attracting international tourists and providing high-quality services.

The event concluded with a series of business negotiations in B2B and B2G formats, where potential projects and cooperation mechanisms were discussed.
