From 15 July, most trains to temporarily depart from the Southern Railway Station

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Uzbekistan Railways has temporarily relocated the departure point for most trains from 15 July to 15 August 2024, due to the reconstruction of the Textile Worker – Tashkent Passenger section.

This decision aims to improve the capacity of railway tracks and ensure uninterrupted movement of freight trains after the completion of the work.

During this period, most trains, including the high-speed Afrosiyob and Sharq trains, will depart from the Southern Railway Station in Tashkent.

The exceptions will be the Almaty – Tashkent – Almaty, Tashkent – Novosibirsk – Tashkent, Tashkent – Samara – Tashkent routes, as well as the Tashkent – Khodjikent – Tashkent commuter trains.

For passenger convenience, ticket offices at both stations will operate around the clock. Passengers can also purchase tickets electronically.

Passengers who mistakenly arrive at the Northern Railway Station will be transported free of charge to the Southern Railway Station by buses.

Additionally, additional waiting areas and control points will be organized at the Southern Railway Station.
