French envoy meets Uzbekistan Women’s Committee chairperson

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan Francois Gauthier was received by Deputy Prime Minister and chairperson of the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan Elmira Basithanova, the press service of the French Embassy in Tashkent said.

The meeting allowed to discuss main directions of the activity of Uzbekistan Women’s Committee and its priorities in education, sanitary and social protection, as well as women empowerment.

At the meeting, the French and Uzbek officials also considered bilateral relations in these areas and noted importance of promoting women’s rights.
