Freight turnover of railway makes up 5.493bn tonnes-km in 1Q 2012
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan Temir Yollari state joint stock railway company fulfilled its main forecasts on transportation of cargoes and passengers in the first quarter of 2012.
The company’s press service said that the freight turnover of railway company made up 5.493 billion tonnes-km in the first three months of 2012.
At the same time, the company added that the passenger turnover increased up to 814.2 million passenger-km (+173,700 yearon-year).
In the reporting period, cargoes for 14.9 million tonnes (+1.5%) were sent from railway stations, the company added.
The company said it used investments for US$67.65 million in the first quarter of 2012 due to own resources.
