Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Freight turnover between Russia and Uzbekistan in January-September 2023 increased by 38% compared to last year. This was announced by the head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia (FCS) Ruslan Davydov.

The head of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, Ruslan Davydov, held negotiations with the head of the customs service of Uzbekistan, Akmalhuja Mavlonov.

The parties discussed the development of mutual trade within the framework of the Simplified Customs Corridor project and issues related to the mutual recognition of AEO (authorized economic operator) institutions.

As part of the development of the AEO Agreement, the parties also signed an agreement on the procedure for exchanging information. This agreement will allow the parties to timely exchange data on changes made to national AEO registries.
