Four new divisions created at Cabinet of Ministers
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Four new divisions were created at the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan in line with the resolution of the Uzbek Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyayev.

According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, following divisions were created:

  • Summary Information- Analytical Department on issues of macroeconomic development, structural reforming economy and complex development of territories;
  • Information- Analytical Department on issues of foreign economic activity, attraction of foreign investments and localization of production;
  • Information- Analytical Department on issues of education, healthcare and social welfare;
  • Office of legal expertise and international agreements.

Summary Information- Analytical Department on issues of macroeconomic development, structural reforming economy and complex development of territories will be responsible for:

  • Conducting deep and complex analysis of economic development trends, systematic monitoring of macroeconomic indicators and social development, revealing disproportion in social-economic development of the country at the macro and territorial level;
  • Developing proposals on strategic proposals, ensuring macroeconomic stability, further deepening of market reforms in industries and sectors of economy, complex development of territories and directed to sustainable economic growth and improving employment level of population;
  • Organizing systematic control over realization of investment projects, including those financed due to foreign investments and developing proposals and measures to ensure their full execution;
  • Coordinating processes on placing orders to the enterprises in the country for localization of the products, need for which was expressed at the analysis of the volume and structure of import in Uzbekistan and International industrial fair and Cooperation Exchange, as well as organizing systematic monitoring over realization of localization projects and others.

Information- Analytical Department on issues of foreign economic activity, attraction of foreign investments and localization of production will be subdivision of Executive Office of the Government of Uzbekistan. The department will direct its efforts to:

  • Ensuring single foreign economic policy, first of all in strengthening of the balanced foreign trade turnover, expanding export potential, optimizing the volume and structures of goods and services import in Uzbekistan;
  • Developing, based on strategic development goals of the country and analysis of changes in situation of global market, proposals on priority directions of foreign economic and foreign trade cooperation with the foreign states, international economic and financial institutions, foreign companies, firms and banks;
  • Developing and implementing complex measures on attraction of foreign investments, first of all directs, for realization of the priority projects on modernization of economy, technical and technological modernization of the production capacities;
  • Developing proposals and coordination of measures on increasing share of services in structure of exports and further developing tourism;
  • Based on deep analysis of the volume and nomenclature of imported products, systematic studying international markets of the similar products, developing recommendations directed to further localization of products, etc.

Information- Analytical Department on issues of education, healthcare and social welfare will provide information and analytical materials to the Cabinet of Ministers, its presidium and Executive Office of the Cabinet on education and training specialists, healthcare, social welfare, science and innovation, culture and sport, as well as realization of the Law on the state language.

Office of legal expertise and international agreements will operate under leadership of the Uzbek Prime Minister. The office will be under supervision of the Head of the Executive Office of the Cabinet of Ministers. The main tasks of the office are:

  • Organizing wide-scale legal expertise of draft laws and other normative-legal acts, submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan by the state and economic bodies, participation in development of draft laws, decrees, resolutions and orders of the President of Uzbekistan and decisions of the Cabinet;
  • Organizing development and realization of plans on drafting laws of the Government of Uzbekistan, ensuring interaction with chambers of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and their committees on submitted laws and other issues, submitted by the Government and others.
