Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The next Asian weightlifting championship has ended in South Korea. In the final program of the competition, the winners and prize-winners in the +109 kg weight category among men were determined. It is gratifying to note that members of the national team of Uzbekistan won 1 silver and 3 bronze medals.

Rustam Jangabayev won a bronze medal in the snatch with a result of 196 kg. In the clean and jerk Akbar Juraev took third place with a score of 242 kg. In the sum of two exercises, both of our compatriots gained 437 kg each. Since an athlete from Karakalpakstan had an advantage in attempts, Rustam Jangabaev won silver, and Akbar Juraev won bronze.

1. Gor Minasyan (Bahrain) - 464 (217 + 247) kg

2. Rustam Jangabaev (Uzbekistan) - 437 (196+241)

3. Akbar Juraev (Uzbekistan) - 437 (195+242)

Thus, the weightlifting team of Uzbekistan at the Asian Weightlifting Championship won 2 gold, 4 silver and 7 bronze medals.
