Four federations on winter sports to be created in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Four federations on winter sports will be established in Uzbekistan, the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan said.

According to the NOC, Uzbekistan will create the Hockey Federation, the Federation of Figure Skating and Short Track, the Curling Federation and the Federation of Skiing.

Snowboarding, skiing, freestyle, ski jumping and other winter sports will be included into these federations.

The federations will also create children’s and youth schools for winter sports.

In Tashkent, the construction of the multifunctional ice complex "Humo" is underway.
