Akbar Hakimov, director general of the festival, said that the event will be organized for the third time and it will be part of Art Week Style.uz. He said that the third forum will focus on quality of the films.

It was noted that the 2013 forum’s slogan will be “Per Speculum Et In Aenigmate” (Latin) - In the mirror and enigma, in the reflection and allegory.

Nigora Karimova, film critic, said that representatives of Germany, France, Italy, Russia, USA, Hungary, Poland, South Korea, China, Vietnam, Turkey, Iran, Brazil, India, Afghanistan, Austria, Switzerland, Canada, and others submitted their works to the forum.

She said that this year, the forum will not focus on number of films, but will focus on geography and attract those countries, which did not participate at the forum. She said that there will be also several prominent directors and actors.

Karimova said that there will be also out-of-competition showcases. The French Embassy in Uzbekistan plans to show several films. Potsdam University of Cinema and Television will present several films. There are also talks with the South Korean Embassy. There is also project dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Indian cinema. There are also other projects.

The Third Tashkent International Film Forum “Golden Guepard” will also include master classes and meetings with foreign actors and directors.
