Forum "Children of the Commonwealth" to be held in Uzbekistan for the first time

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 20 to 30 June, the eighth international cultural and educational forum of the CIS member states "Children of the Commonwealth" will be held in Uzbekistan. This year it will be held under the motto "Children of the Commonwealth": an inextricable link between times and generations." This was reported by the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

The forum will be attended by schoolchildren and their mentors from the CIS countries: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The guys will present presentations of national traditions and customs of their countries. A rich program awaits them: master classes, sports competitions, intellectual games, educational trainings, a music championship, poetry evenings, excursions, exhibitions, circus shows, film screenings, discos and many other events.

The forum participants will visit the building of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where meetings with parliamentarians and representatives of the youth parliament are planned.

The Forum "Children of the Commonwealth", initiated by the Jogorku Kenesh (Supreme Council) of the Kyrgyz Republic, has been held annually since 2013. In total, over 700 schoolchildren took part in it during its existence.

The first five forums were organized in Kyrgyzstan, on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul. Currently, the geography of the "Children of the Commonwealth" is expanding: in 2021, the forum was held in St. Petersburg, and this year it will be held for the first time in Uzbekistan, in a children’s camp in Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region.

The forum is organized by the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the support of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the States Members of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
