Forty-sixth plenary meeting of the Senate to be held on 27 October

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 26 October, a meeting of the Kengash of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held. It was moderated by the Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbaeva.

At the meeting, a resolution was adopted to convene the forty-sixth plenary meeting of the Senate on 27 October 2023.

It was noted that at the plenary meeting, which will be held using a video conferencing system, a number of issues are planned to be discussed.

Among them are the laws “On Probation”, “On Road Traffic”, four laws on amendments and additions to the Civil Procedure Code, the Economic Procedure Code, the Code of Administrative Responsibility, the Code of Administrative Proceedings in connection with improving the procedure for verifying the legality and validity of court decisions.

It is also planned for senators to discuss the laws “On introducing amendments and additions to the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with improving the procedure for verifying the legality, validity and fairness of court decisions”, “On introducing amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, “On introducing amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at increasing the size of land plots allocated for running dehkan farming” and “On introducing amendments to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Security Activities”.

In addition, at the plenary meeting, it is planned to consider the Law “On the ratification of the Agreement on the establishment of the Turkic Investment Fund (Ankara, on 16 March 2023)” and the issue of electing the Commissioner of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Children’s Rights (Children’s Ombudsman).
