The committee noted that foreign trade turnover with the CIS countries made up US$11.11 billion, and with other countries – US$14.427 billion.
Out of the total volume of the foreign trade turnover, export operations hit US$15.027 billion and import operations - US$10.51 billion.
The imports coverage by exports was 143 percent versus 141.9 percent in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The positive balance of the external trade was US$4.517 billion, including US$2.33 billion with the CIS countries and US$2.187 billion with other foreign countries.
Exports of Uzbekistan to the CIS states grew by 19% to US$6.72 billion and other countries by 12.6% to US$8.307 billion in 2011.
The imports volume of Uzbekistan from CIS states made up US$4.29 billion in 2011, or rose by 18% year-on-year. Imports from other countries also rose by 12.2% and made up US$6.12 billion.
Share of the CIS in foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan made up 43.5% (42.2% in 2010) and other countries – 56.5% (57.8%) in 2011. Share of the CIS states in exports of Uzbekistan grew from 43.4% in 2010 to 44.7% in 2011, while in imports – from 40.6% to 41.8%.
Share of other states in Uzbekistan’s exports made up 55.3% and in imports – 58.2% in 2011, the committee said.
