Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In 2024, 63 foreign companies providing electronic services in Uzbekistan paid taxes totaling 115.8 billion soums. This is a 50% increase compared to 2023, according to the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan.
According to the committee, 99.9% of the tax payments were made by the ten largest foreign companies providing electronic services in Uzbekistan.
Specifically, Meta paid 41.7 billion soums, Google paid 29 billion soums, and Apple paid 27.3 billion soums.
Following these, the next largest tax payers were Amazon with 4.1 billion soums, Booking.com with 3.6 billion soums, and Netflix and Zoom, each contributing 1.4 billion soums. Acca paid 1.2 billion soums, Xsolla paid 966.7 million soums, and TikTok paid 903 million soums.
Under Uzbek legislation, all foreign legal entities providing electronic services are required to submit tax reports and pay taxes no later than the 20th of the month following the end of each quarter.
