Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  From January to September 2024, 61 foreign companies providing electronic services in Uzbekistan paid 101.9 billion soums in taxes to the national budget.

This amount represents a 2.1-fold increase compared to the same period of last year, indicating a growing presence of foreign companies in Uzbekistan and an improvement in tax compliance.

The ten largest taxpayers among foreign companies are as follows:

1. Meta - 41.1 billion soums

2. Google - 26.1 billion soums

3. Apple - 22.6 billion soums

4. Amazon - 3.7 billion soums

5. Booking.com - 2.2 billion soums

6. Zoom - 1.4 billion soums

7. Netflix - 1.3 billion soums

8. Acca - 1.2 billion soums

9. Yandex Europe - 1.1 billion soums

10. Xsolla - 900.3 million soums

Notably, these ten companies account for 99.9% of all taxes paid.

Uzbekistan is actively developing its digital technologies and attracting foreign companies to provide electronic services. The tax contributions from these foreign entities are vital for the formation of the state budget and ensure the financing of the country’s socio-economic development.
