Foreign citizens can be invited to Uzbekistan through MY.GOV.UZ

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers approved the Administrative Regulations for the provision of public services in connection with inviting foreign citizens and stateless persons to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

According to the Regulations, to invite foreign citizens and stateless persons to Uzbekistan, it is necessary to apply directly to the migration and citizenship registration units of the internal affairs bodies or through the Unified Portal of Interactive State Services (MY.GOV.UZ).

The regulations define:

the procedure for applying for invitation of foreign citizens and stateless persons;

the procedure and timing for receiving and processing applications by migration and citizenship registration units of internal affairs bodies through an automated system;

issuing invitations with a QR code about the invitation of foreign citizens, and presenting them to the applicant.

To invite foreign citizens and stateless persons to Uzbekistan, the applicant applies to any authorized body on the principle of extraterritoriality, regardless of the place of their permanent or temporary registration, or uses a government service in electronic form.

For the provision of public services, a state duty of 5% of the basic estimated value is paid.

The authorized body, within two working days, verifies the correctness of the data entered in the questionnaire using an automated information system.

Upon an approved application, an invitation letter (with a QR code) is issued within one working day and it is handed over to the applicant or sent to the applicant’s personal account at MY.GOV.UZ.

The invitation is valid for three months from the date of issue.
