Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – The Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports has approved the Regulation on the procedure for the appointment and payment of the ministry’s scholarship.

The scholarship, in the form of monthly payments, is awarded to athletes included in the main or reserve teams of the national teams of Uzbekistan in sports included in the program of the Olympic, Paralympic, Asian, and Para-Asian Games, who have taken places according to the appendix to the Regulation.

The rules of the Regulation do not apply to athletes who have been awarded lifelong monthly payments for winning medals at the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Commission of the Ministry for Scholarships:

compiles a list of athlete candidates for the scholarship, submitted by republican sports development centers and the National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan;

verifies the accuracy of information about athletes and compliance with criteria;

makes decisions on the appointment of scholarships to athletes or the termination of their payments.

The scholarship amount is 3 sizes of minimum wage rates.
