Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 21 September 2022 No. PP-376 envisages the creation of Centers for Employment and Women’s Health in mahallas.

In order to ensure permanent employment of up to 20 women in these centers, within the framework of one social project, business entities are allocated a state grant in the amount of up to 3 million soums for each unemployed woman whose employment is secured.

Based on the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to organize the activities of centers for ensuring employment and improving the health of women in mahallas” from 8 November 2022, No. 650, the State grant is allocated to the following categories of women for projects aimed at vocational training, as well as training entrepreneurship, providing employment and facilitating the start of a business:

women included in the “Unified Register of Social Protection”, as well as in the “Women’s Notebook”;

unemployed women raising children, especially in rural areas;

women returning from foreign labor migration;

able-bodied unemployed women with disabilities;

women engaged in daily work activities and earning income, to reduce informal employment;

women who have suffered from human trafficking, as well as persecution and violence, who are in difficult economic situations;

unemployed women who have graduated from general educational institutions of secondary and vocational education, who have not entered universities or are unable to obtain higher education;

women who have previously been prosecuted, are on preventive registration, and have returned from penal institutions.
