For errors in fixing traffic violations, owners of private cameras will to deprived of their right

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Entrepreneurs whose cameras make mistakes in fixing traffic violations will be deprived of ownership of these cameras if the number of errors of the total number of recorded violations is 5% or more.

From now on, entrepreneurs who own cameras for recording traffic violations will be deprived of their ownership of the cameras if the number of errors out of the total number of violations sent by them to the accounting system is 5% or more. The decision on the deprivation of ownership of the cameras will be made by the court.

In addition, according to the document, now the private sector is given an extended period of 180 days (was 60 days) for the installation and commissioning of special automated video recorders of traffic violations.

However, if the entrepreneur does not start construction and installation work to install a camera for fixing violations within 90 days after notification of winning the auction, the contract will be terminated by the court.

In 2021-2022, at auctions, prices for such lots sometimes grew tens or hundreds of times. So, in July 2021, a site in Khorezm was bought for 40 million soums, or 27 times more expensive than the starting price, and a month later, two companies brought the cost of a point in Tashkent to 3.5 billion soums.

In February 2022, a batch of 92 locations for cameras and radars in the capital was sold at an online auction. The total final cost of the lots amounted to 66.61 billion soums, which is 168 times more than the starting prices.
