Football match in Uzbekistan ends in massive brawl

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The match of the Pro League of Uzbekistan between Neftchi (Fergana) - Turan (Yaypan) ended in a massive brawl.

In this meeting, which took place on 1 December, the teams played for a ticket to the Super League of Uzbekistan.

Turan defeated Ferghana-based team with the score 1:0. Thus, Turan took first place and got a ticket to the Super League of Uzbekistan. "Neftchi", which occupied the first place before the match, took the second position in the final table.

After the match, "Neftchi" fans rushed to the field. One of the footballers of "Neftchi" in a jump kicked the referee of the match Shavkat Nasibullaev.

In a statement, the press service of the PFL of Uzbekistan notes that the organization will study the situation and punish those responsible for this incident.

Eleven people have been brought to justice for participation in the riots at the end of the Uzbekistan Pro League football match between the Neftchi and Turon teams, the Fergana regional police department reported. A criminal case was initiated.
