Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Football agent Mino Raiola died today at the age of 55. The agent’s death was confirmed by his family.

The death of the Italian was confirmed on his verified Twitter account.

“It is with deep sadness that we announce that the most caring and most incredible football agent who has ever lived has passed away.

Mino fought to the very end with the same zeal that he put into the negotiation process, protecting his players.

Mino’s work touched the lives of so many people, he wrote a new chapter in the modern history of football. We will always miss him.

Mino’s mission to make the football world a better place for players will continue with the same passion.

We thank everyone for the incredible support given to us during this difficult time and ask that the privacy of family and friends be respected at this sad moment,” the Raiola family said in a statement.

Raiola represented the interests of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Erling Haaland, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Matthijs de Ligt, Marco Verratti, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and many other players.

In January, Raiola’s emergency hospitalization in Milan was reported, but the rumors were later refuted by his entourage. On Thursday, 28 April, information appeared that Raiola had died, but on the same day it was also refuted.
