Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On additional measures to further develop and popularize football in Jizzakh region” was adopted.

The document envisages the creation of a Football Academy under the professional football clubs Sugdiyona and Sugdiyona Vumen.

The activities of the Academy will begin in the 2022/2023 academic year, while the educational process will be organized in the nearest secondary schools.

The main tasks and activities of the Academy:

constant interaction with children’s and youth sports schools, schools of football masters, specialized boarding schools of the Olympic reserve on the selection and education of promising young athletes, the provision of educational and methodological support;

creation of training bases equipped with the necessary sports equipment and equipment;

organization and regular holding of training camps, republican and regional sports competitions with the participation of national teams and their reserve on the basis of the Academy;

cooperation for the exchange of experience with European football teams, football schools, academies and clubs.

The Academy is a non-governmental sports and educational organization aimed at selecting and training talented young football players.

The general contingent of the academy consists of 168 students, 24 gifted football players are annually admitted on a competitive basis.

The term of study at the Academy is 7 years, after which a certificate is issued. Graduates are provided with further specialized, professional education in the colleges of the Olympic and Paralympic reserve.
