Uzbekistan Art Academy and Fund Forum organized the festival. Within the project, each region of Uzbekistan was able to present works of their painters and masters. Days of Japanese Culture were also held within the event. The festival also included master classes of painters, fashion shows, musical concerts, poetry nights, exhibitions, conference, discussions, demonstration of documentaries, etc.
The project was aimed at showing potential of painters of various generations. The visitors also participated in the process of creation of paintings.
During five days, painters, sculptors and masters demonstrated their works at area around the Uzbekistan Art Academy. Any person could watch creation of sculptor from marble or paintings. The festival was also visited by painters from Japan, Ukraine and Russia. They presented their works and held master classes.
Week of Fine Art +5 was held for the first time in 2004. The event became one of the brightest cultural event of the year and attracts interest of people from Uzbekistan and abroad. It is planned to organize the festival in international format in 2014.
